Spring must be coming

Spring must be on its way, as so many of the birds we hardly saw through winter are reappearing.

We were delighted to see a Fairy Wren today. We very rarely see this lovely little bird on the property, and it was exciting to see the flash of bright blue in the bushes.

Meanwhile the three Sulphur-Crested Cockatoos we saw earlier in the year are back visiting us.

And as I sat at the computer, I watched a Satin Bowerbird take some straw from the pile that we're using for our light earth building, and carry it off to build his own nest. Now that's co-operative living!
